Welcome!

Lutheran - Episcopal Campus Ministries is an ecumenical ministry of the Lutheran (ELCA) and Episcopal denominations. Our ministry seeks to reach out to all who struggle with questions of faith through conversation, study, worship, fellowship and social service. All these are aspects of the life of faith. We look to help individuals develop their own self-understandings of the world and their place in it, whether they are Christians, non-Christians, people of faith or no faith. We believe that conversation among those who differ in opinion and outlook makes everyone stronger in their own identities and convictions.

Programs for 2011-2012

Bible Study - Wednesdays 7:30 - 9 p.m. @ the Wesley Foundation

The Bible: Bad Science, Bad History, but a Good Story
How can a book full of factual errors still be true?

Can the bible be true without torturing science? Absolutely.

Can people with a scientific worldview find meaning in the Bible without
compromising their understandings of factual truth? Absolutely.

Not your traditional bible study, this study looks at how a book full of
factual errors can still be true and provide a foundation for faith
.

Discussion Group - Mondays 8 - 9 p.m. @ Bernhard in the food court

Meaningful Conversations

Forget "Christianity," bring your own beliefs and seek meaning for
yourself. These are small group discussions for those of any faith or no
faith, all religions and skepticisms, who are interested in making sense
of the world in conversation with others. No conversion, no judgment.
It is what it says - an opportunity to speak openly with others to find
your own answers and form your own identity.

Reading Group - Sundays 4 - 5:30 p.m. @ Wesley Foundation

Foundational Stories

Did you ever wonder how the stories of the bible were shared when they
were originally composed? Gather to hear and tell the stories of the bible
orally as they were presented in their original settings. Each week the
group will listen to and discuss books from the bible. Each session will
be self-contained, so come and go as you please. Join us whenever you
can. Open to the general public.
